Capitol Driving School officially began business in 1945. In January 1968, the school came under the management of Ray and Janet Scott, WV natives and current owners. They incorporated Capitol in 1970. Ray and Janet have had the privilege of helping thousands of students to be safer drivers 
and feel honored to have taught 2 & 3 generations of families in our community.
Our school has worked with top driving schools throughout the United States to develop The DriveTecUSA Defensive Driving System, the most advanced training system available. DriveTecUSA helps make Capitol FIRST in the FIELD of DRIVER TRAINING.
Capitol offers the best in Driver Education for teenagers and driver training for adults. We make learning easy and safe for beginners or for those needing refresher or brush-up lessons. Our goal is "To produce the safest drivers possible through effective driver training". We challenge our students to have as their personal goal a LIFETIME of COLLISION FREE driving built on one safe trip after another. What better gift to give a new driver?
Our purpose is to do our very best for each person and to teach him or her the most advanced defensive driving techniques. We constantly strive to improve our training and our service. Our phone room hours are Mon. - Fri., 8:30am to 5:30pm; Sat., 8:45am to 3:30pm. After hours, please leave a message and your call will be returned the next business day. We offer an EASY PAYMENT PLAN and the MOST EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS in the business of driver training.
