Our Safe Driver Teen Course is designed for those students that have had a little driving already or will get ample opportunity to practice concepts between lessons. While most students can master the basic requirements as required by South Carolina law within the six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel training, some are better served by taking the Deluxe Teen Course.
This course teaches all basic fundamentals required to safely operate a motor vehicle on South Carolina's roadways in today's environment. It covers the basics such as signs and signals, road markings, vehicle control and right-of-way determination. While we will teach your student the basic skills required on the state road test, this is not our primary objective. Also included in this course is DriveTecUSA's Expert Driving System, a system that when employed correctly will help your student achieve a lifetime of collision-free driving built one trip at a time.

Our Deluxe Teen Driving Course is designed for those students that have had little chance to drive already or will not get ample opportunity to practice concepts between lessons. Complete beginning drivers or those seeking more advanced defensive driving skills will benefit most from this program. If your student requires more practice, this course allows the instructor to spend more time helping them develop the necessary control ability to maintain a collision-free lifestyle. If your student is more advanced, this course allows the instructor to present more advanced situations and help your student to adjust their attitudes toward driving, all with the goal of helping them attain a lifetime of collision-free driving.
DriveTecUSA's Expert Driving System
The DriveTecUSA Expert Driving System has been developed over the last 50 years and is continuously updated to meet the changing demands of today's driving. Our systems teaches the student how to effectively scan the traffic scene and create space between himself/herself and the surrounding vehicles or obstacles.
Recently added to our program is the use of Drunk Busters Impairment Goggles. We use these goggles to help the student understand the effects of alcohol on their bodies and see first hand how difficult it is to handle a vehicle while impaired. This training is done in the classroom and also in the actual vehicle. Our training explains the differences between the goggles and actual impairment to help your student make the decision to never drink or use drugs and drive!
