Our school offers two pre-designed courses of defensive driving for fleet drivers.
However, if you don't see something you want, tell us your location, number of participants and your budget and we'll develop a proposal to meet your needs.
Type One - Nationally Recognized Classroom Driver Improvement Courses
A. The Driver Improvement Program Course
This is an eight hour American Automobile Association Course using AAA materials and certified instructors. In addition to receiving helpful defensive driving instruction, successful completion of the course will qualify participants for removal of up to FOUR existing points from their South Carolina Driving Record. Ask us about South Carolina point removal restriction details.
B. The Mature Drivers Course
This eight-hour classroom course is also available for individuals 25 years of age and older. It includes the same defensive driving instruction but qualifies with South Carolina insurance companies for a premium savings lasting three years. Individual insurance companies set the discount they will offer. Some give a generous 10% for three years and some as little as 1 or 2 percent. We encourage everyone to ask their own insurance agent about this discount.
- Course Fees for groups start at $ 45.00 per person, a savings of $ 40.00 per person over our individual course fee. Group course fees could be slightly more depending on the time and location of the training given.
- Group classes can be scheduled Monday through Saturday at our classroom or your location.
- Companies may receive a group rate when training employees as a group or sending a few at a time to our regularly scheduled classes as their schedule permits.
TYPE TWO DriveTecUSA Driver Tune - Up Programs
DriveTecUSA training concentrates on collision reduction through techniques designed to reduce driver error and increase driver awareness. DriveTecUSA programs use either all In - Vehicle or mostly In - Vehicle training in combination with some in - class instruction.
Formula I Program - Eight hours (4 hours classroom and 4 hours In-car)
- Four hours of DriveTecUSA class training for a large group, 12 to 21 people. $450.00 for the group
- Four hours of In - Vehicle training scheduled to follow a few days after the class session. In this phase of the program up to three participants train at a group rate of $389.00.
Formula II Program
Four hours of In - Vehicle training for groups of three Participants for a group rate of $389.00
Formula III Program
Four hours of DriveTecUSA Defensive Driving Classroom Instruction for a group of 12 to 21 participants for a group rate of $450.00.
Formula IV Program
Two hours of In-Vehicle training for groups of up to three Participants for a group rate of $199.00. This program is a good choice for evaluation of drivers or a follow up to Formula I or II.
NOTE : Tuition fees are based on the program selected, location for the training, number of participants, time frame and scheduling that requires additional instructor travel. Programs can be formatted to your specific needs.
